My concert ticket stubs.
In alpha numeric order.
Love me some 311.
I saw them more than twice but only have 2 stubs.
311
I laid on a blanket in the lawn area and drank the whole time
which made this concert more enjoyable.
Chicago? I don't remember why I went to this...
A Beach Boys & Chicago concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Maryland
I went with family & neighborhood friends...
Went with Jeff & Troy.
Hairspray, spandex & rock & roll.
A great show to say adios to the 80's.
This show never happened because Chris Martin's voice
went out on him or he was sick or something.
I scanned the ticket anyways.
Good show. Lots of lights, lazers, smoke, fog machines.
Good show. Anything at Sloss is usually good because of the setting.
MM opened - this was before he got big.
I remember them doing the Sweet Dreams cover and thinking it was cool.
My friend talked me into going to this DSO show.
I don't remember anything about it.
This show was about halfway between Montgomery and Troy
off in the middle of some farmer's cow field.
I went with Jay, Parker and maybe Trey and
we blasted Anthrax & Public Enemy's Bring the Noise the entire trip.
In Tuscaloosa on the University of Alabama.
Big dnc show.
The Fly Me Courageous tour.
Not sure where this one was at but it was for a dnc show.
Went with William, Jesse & I can't remember who else.
We drove to New Orleans to see the Flaming Lips.
About 50 miles outside of N.O. we were listening to the radio
and the DJ says "For everyone going the the Flaming Lips show
tonight it's been cancelled." BUMMER!
Turns out someone stole their equipment from their van/trailor
We saw Sebadoah without the Lips which was still cool.
Dave Grohl is a Rock God...
foos

The Invisible Touch tour.
Huge crowd at RFK Stadium in Washington DC.
I went with my sister and her friends.
We sat in the nose bleed section...
My first and only Hoodoo Guru concert.
I became a big fan after this show.
My first Drivin' N' Cryin' concert.
Palmer Auditorium, University of Montevallo - fall 1989 - my freshman year.
Good show, it seemed like we were the oldest people there.
Went with Brion & his brother-in-law.
Secret Machines opened and it was INCREDIBLY LOUD!
Fantastic show.
My very first concert - I was 13 years old.
This was Michael Jackson's first tour after his Thriller album and was a huge event.
All his brothers were with him.
RFK Stadium in DC sold out, capacity crowd.
The epitome of an 80's concert.
It's crazy how many hits Mellencamp has.
He was an 80's musical badass and deserves more credit.
"Welcome to the Party"
Fun show, beer, babes, rednecks, rap & rock & roll.
Coors light tanker truck onstage that shot flames...
girls dancing in cages...everything you'd expect at a Kid Rock show.
angry punk grrrlz.
Lolla 1992
I have 2 Lolla tickets from 1992 in my stub box.
One was mine and one was my future wife's.
We bought them separately and they ended up looking different.
Not sure which was mine so I just scanned them both.
Lolla 1992
Lolla 1993
Went with my friend Mark who lived accross the hall from me in the dorms.
We wore doctor's scrubs. Cut me some slack man, it was the "Dr. Feelgood Tour"!
Went with Melanie & Brian.
Sitting in the parking lot before the show some dude walked up to us
and asked us if we were "nail heads" and asked if we wanted to buy some NIN stuff.
We laughed at the label "nail heads". A Perfect Circle opened for them.
Glad I saw them when I did 'cuz I wouldn't have had another chance!
This was about 3 months before Kurt ended it all.
We were on the floor the whole time jumping around in front of the stage.
The Breeders opened for them and I remember being in the bathroom
at the urinal when they started playing Canonball
I was pissed I missed that.
I'd always wanted to see them and glad I finally did.
I prefer their earlier stuff though.
Glad I saw them before they broke up.
Verbena will always be one of my favorite bands.
Too bad they're not around anymore.
Pavement was good too.
We saw him in the parking lot behind the music hall before the show.
We were waiting in line to get in and he walked right by.
I remember thinking "is he really that short?"
Nose bleed tickets bought from Jay's parents on the day of the show.
See the word "upper" in the lower left corner of the ticket?
Believe me that's where we were sitting.
Pixies reunion! Great show.
We sat next to the guys from the band The Whigs from Athens GA.
Fantastic show.
We were parking during the opening song.
Went with Melanie & Mitch. It was lightly drizzling the entire time.
Kinda foggy - drizzle really set the mood and we were in the lawn the whole time.
Wore a rain parka to stay dry. A great, great show.
I wanna be sedated.
Great show at Sloss.
The "Monster Tour"
Bill Berry had an aneurism earlier on this tour.
Went with Roy & Liane, spent the night in Atlanta.
Modest Mouse opened for them.
I much prefer early REM.
Went to see Remy Zero, not Semisonic.
Cinjun was married to Alyssa Milano at the time.
She was at Sakura before the show eating at the table with us.
I interned at I-95 - a Birmingham radio station - this year for school
and got to see some shows for free - this being one of them.
Good show but Billy was being a prick.
Why was he so angry?
I love me some Spacehog.
I interned at I-95 - a Birmingham radio station - this year for school
and got to see some shows for free - this being one of them.
The Breeders were great.
The Cult!
Interpol, Muse, The Rapture, Mogwai opened or were on the side stage
Front row seats to the Monkees reunion tour, wOoT!
We were on the second row in front of the stage.
Living Color opened for them & I got one of Vernon Reid's guitar picks.
Ran over a bottle in the parking lot after the show and got a flat tire...
I worked with Alex Vallejo who was friends with a dude at New Era
and he got me on the Rolling Stones "breakdown crew".
We got to see the concert for free but had to break down the stage after the show.
It was tough work and I was up all night working until about lunchtime the next day.
Got paid for it though.
The Toadies rocked. This was my birthday.
The bass player chick wished me a happy birthday after the show.
I wanna get free, I wanna get free, I wanna get free ride into the sun...
Good show, she's very emotional and practically makes love to the piano.
The Joshua Tree Tour and a great concert.
The highlight of U2's career if you ask me.
$19 for a U2 concert? That wouldn't cover a "service charge" now a days.
It rained a bit and Bono slipped on stage and nearly broke his arm.
In the movie Rattle & Hum he's walking around NYC with his arm in
a sling/cast because of this fall.
GnR & STP combined? Hell yea I'm there!
I saw them again at Oak Mt. when Alice & Chains with a new singer opened for them.
Not sure where that stub went...
311, No Doubt, Garbage, Jack Johnson, Michael Franti
We were wore out from being outside all day.
Went to see Follow For Now.
An odd pairing of bands if you ask me.
Can't even remember who played this one.
